Compensation & Benefit Reference Guide for Students

Please visit our Compensation and Benefits home page for self-service tools that will assist you in getting set up as an employee of Employment and Social Development Canada.

  • Training

You need to register for a Saba account (our integrated learning management system) to manage your learning requests.  The essential training curriculum for employees will automatically load into your Saba profile once you have created an account.

You should discuss with your manager any further training that may be required specific to your position. Some additional, suggested training related to compensation include:

    1. HR-to-Pay (Phoenix) training on how to use Phoenix Self-Service and create overtime / additional hours requests.
    2. Demystifying Your Pay Stubs on how to interpret your pay stubs.
    3. Additional Phoenix training is available through the Canada School of Public Service (CSPC).
