Module V: Training and Awareness
The Training and Awareness Module of the Departmental Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Program outlines the requirements for OHS education for all employees in the Department.
Under the Part II of the Canada Labour Code, all employees, management representatives, committee members and OHS representatives must be educated on their OHS rights and obligations.
OHS training and awareness activities are designed to promote a healthy and safe workplace. Employees may also be required to attend other task-specific training or awareness sessions depending on their duties.
