Items requiring an approval from the staffing sub-delegated manager

  • Briefing note for the approval of an exception to the National Area of Selection;
  • Assessment board report;
  • Narrative assessment;
  • Assessment Tools, Plan or Rating Guide;
  • Articulation of Selection Decision;
  • Request for Non-imperative Staffing of Bilingual Positions;
  • Rationale for a higher salary rate than the minimum for external appointments;
  • ADM approval for acting appointments of 12 months or more Footnote 1.

From the staffing sub-delegated manager

Proof of Canadian Citizenship:

Any employee designated by the staffing sub-delegated manager can verify the proof of citizenship (DOCX, 213 KB). A copy of the appropriate documentation must be verified (a clear and readable copy can be sent by e-mail) and a confirmation must be added to the staffing file (e.g., an e-mail, a paper note, a note in the HRSC portal or you can use the following template (DOC, 523 KB) ).

  Acceptable method of approval

  • An Email, a wet signature or a scanned copy of a wet signature from the sub-delegated manager;
  • Unsigned attached document included in the HRSC portal request Footnote *;
  • An approved WMC Record of Decision (for acting over 12 months).
  • Digital and Electronic Signatures

  Unacceptable method of approval

  • Email from the sub-delegated manager’s assistant, a Branch Management Services (BMS) employee or from the hiring manager who is not sub-delegated in staffing.
  • Email from the hiring manager, with a cc to the sub-delegated manager;
