Ergonomic Self-Help Tools (Online resources and training)

Employees will occasionally experience aches or discomfort which could be attributed to the set-up of their workstation. Self-help tools are designed to aid employees with identification of sources of physical discomfort and to make minor adjustments to their workstation / workspace that can help prevent or eliminate ergonomic-related discomfort.

  • Who should access the self-help tools?

All employees should review the self-help tools at any time to ensure their workstation and/or workspace continues to be setup in a proper ergonomic manner and they are engaging in good ergonomic habits. In particular, employees should access the self-help tools immediately if they are:

    • experiencing aches or physical discomfort; or
    • presenting a medical note with no previous history of ergonomic issues.

Employees with specific functional limitations may also benefit from reviewing the self-help tools.
