Prepare Content

Preparing content for the iService website requires the Content Approver to create a Microsoft Word mockup for submission to the web team.

Create a Microsoft Word Mockup

Refer to the appropriate section:

Modify Existing Page

Modify Existing Page

To modify the content on your web pages, you must create a mockup in Microsoft Word by following these steps:

  1. Copy-paste the URL of the page you want to modify at the top of your Microsoft Word document;
  2. Copy-paste the existing content (live version);
  3. Refer to the iService Web Design and Development Toolkit for design and layout requirements prior to creating or modifying the content;
  4. Modify the content (add, change, move, delete) using Track Changes;
  5. For special instructions to the Webmaster, add Comments;
  6. Submit approved final mockup in both official languages (in separate documents).

Good practice!

Take this opportunity to check if the Hyperlinks on the web page(s) you are modifying still work. If they point to a wrong page or are broken links (gives you an error message), you can correct them in the same request.

Create New Page

Create New Page

To create a new web page, you must provide a mockup in a Microsoft Word by following these steps:

  1. Determine the source page;
    • The source page is the web page on which you want to insert the hyperlink to your new page in order to access it.
  2. Copy-paste the URL of the source page at the top of your Word document;
  3. Copy-paste the content of the source page. Use Track Changes and add a Comment where you want to insert the Hyperlink to your new page;
  4. Insert a page break (CTRL + Enter);
  5. Indicate "New Page" at the top of the page;
  6. Add the new content while ensuring you follow the Accessibility Guide;
  7. Refer to the iService Web Design and Development Toolkit for design and layout requirements prior to creating or modifying the content;
  8. For special instructions to the Webmaster, add Comments;
  9. Submit the approved mockup in both official languages (in separate documents).
