  • Creating a Respectful Workplace: Course offered by the Canada School of Public Service that explores potential harassment situations, what it means to create a respectful workplace and how to promote attitudes and behaviours that will discourage conflict in the workplace.
  • Mental Health in the Workplace: Services geared to direct employees and managers to resources and tools that can support them in creating a workplace that promotes psychological health and/or support them during work & life situations that may affect their mental health.
  • Improving Listening Skills: Course offered by the Canada School of Public Service; participants are taught how to control distractions, concentrate on the message and interpret messages as they listen.
  • Diversity and Employment Equity: Various resources for ESDC employees on encouraging diversity and creating a culture of inclusion, including examples of diversity.
  • Disability Management: Provides the recommended steps that support managers and employees to work together in preventing and/or responding to an illness, injury or disability situation.
  • Duty to Accommodate - Frequently Asked Questions: Further guidance on the duty to accommodate federal employees with special needs to achieve reasonable workplace accommodation.
  • The Richness of Our Differences: Three-hour online course offered by the College@ESDC in two versions, one for employees and one for managers. It is designed to gain an understanding of diversity and employment equity, and why they are so important to our department.
  • Dealing with Difficult & Distressed Client Behaviours:  Online experiential session devoted to practice and feedback on dealing with difficult and distressed client behaviours as well as information on health, safety, security issues, stress management and wellness.
