Celebrating the Fifth Anniversary of ESDC's Code of Conduct

Did you know that ESDC's Code of Conduct was launched in 2012?

The purpose of the Code is to help us better understand what ethical behaviour means in our workplace. The Code offers guidance on what is expected of us in our day-to-day work and interactions with clients and colleagues. As public servants, we should always behave in a manner that upholds the Code's five values: respect for democracy, respect for people, integrity, stewardship and excellence.

Join us for Tea X Talk

We invite you to celebrate this important milestone by participating in a Tea X Talk event (inspired by TED talks) on Wednesday, April 5 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time at 140 Promenade du Portage, in room 5 of the Learning Centre (floor 1).

Please bring a beverage and join us to view two videos related to values and ethics.

The first video offers bold suggestions on moral integrity. The second focuses on the question of online shaming and the impact of online interactions. A discussion of the videos will follow.

All employees are welcome to this bilingual event in person or view via WebEx. If you are interested in attending, please send an email to the Office of Values and Ethics. Please ensure you have your manager's approval before participating. Further information on the event will be sent after confirmation of attendance.

In the meantime, to learn more about the Code and our departmental values, please visit the Values and Ethics section on iService.
