Security Questions and Responses

Security questions are used as a further means of identifying an individual, as another layer of security. If you are locked out of your computer session and require help from the National Service Desk, you will need to answer several security questions to establish your identity.

DO...

  • Select security questions which you can answer easily and are significant to you in your GCProfile.
  • Select a security response to which only you would know the answer.
  • Answers should be simple, memorable, can't be guessed easily, and don't change over time.
  • Compose your responses like a password: use special characters or pass phrases for more security.

DON'T...

  • Write your security responses down.
  • Share your responses.
