About MyESDC-MonEDSC App
Shortly after the start of the COVID-19 global pandemic in early 2020, offices across ESDC closed, and much of our workforce moved to a telework situation. During this period, every effort was made to manage the situation, provide a healthy and safe work environment, and keep employees informed. This unprecedented situation highlighted the need for ESDC to be able to communicate off-network with employees.
Although many of our workforce can now access the network from home, and significant strides have been made to strengthen our ability to connect through our work issued devices, there are still occasions when off-network capability is preferable. To address this gap, HRSB/IITB has developed the MyESDC-MonEDSC App; a single-window off-network e-channel to enable ESDC to communicate with all employees and provide them with access to tools available off-network anytime, anywhere.
Access
The app is available in the Google Play and Apple stores free of charge for all ESDC employees and all Canadians; requires no log in or password however, there may be links within the MyESDC-MonEDSC App that would require employees to log in and enter their password.

The MyESDC-MonEDSC App will be evolving regularly – with your help! We want to hear from you – the user – what would you like to see on the App or how can we improve your user experience. Frequently Asked Questions
Is it mandatory for employees to download the MyESDC-MonEDSC App on their work issued devices?
No, although the App is available and free for download, it is not mandatory for employees to have it on their work device. It is optional and meant for anyone who wishes to use it as an additional communication tool or resource.
Can I download the App on my work cell – and how do I download the App on my work cell phone?
Yes, you are able to download the App on your work cell. Please use your Google Play Store account or your App Store account configured on your mobile device to search for MyESDC application or use the appropriate link below to find the app. If you are unsure how to create your account, please use Google to find the steps involved for the type of device you have.

Does the App automatically update itself on my phone with the new enhancements and fixes?
This depends on your device settings and not the App itself. You can either update your apps downloaded and installed on your device individually or automatically. Updating your apps gives you access to the latest features and improvements.
Will the MyESDC-MonEDSC App replace our current ESDC communication tools?
The App was created as an additional tool to communicate with employees, and to provide access to off-network resources anytime, anywhere. Existing or current communication tools will continue to be used to connect and communicate with employees.
How long will messages be available to read on the MyESDC-MonEDSC App?
Urgent messages will be deleted after the urgency/alert situation has passed. Non-urgent messages are to be posted for the shortest amount of time applicable to the message; submitter will identify deletion date on the Intake Form.
Will my personal information be collected if I download the MyESDC-MonEDSC App to my personal device?
Information used to download the App, such as a user's IP address and email address, will not be collected or stored. Additionally, the App does not require an authentication login or password to access.
How to obtain technical support for MyESDC-MonEDSC App?
If you are experiencing technical difficulties, please contact us monedsc-myesdc@hrsdc-rhdcc.gc.ca and indicate "technical difficulty" in the Subject line.
Can I expect a reply when I submit feedback via the MyESDC App?
No. In order to respect user’s privacy, no personal information is collected or stored by the MyESDC-MonEDSC App so we have no way to contact you.

What are the Service Support hours?
Support services are provided Monday to Friday (exclusive of statutory holidays) during normal working hours (8:00 hours to 17:00 hours EST).
A service can be requested or an incident reported by email at any time. Incidents reported or services requested outside the working hours will be served at the next scheduled working day unless a special procedure for major incident is invoked.
