Occupational Health And Safety (OHS) Training

Under Part II of the Canada Labour Code, all employees (including management), OHS committee members and representatives must be educated on their OHS rights and obligations.

The Training and Awareness Module (PDF, 515 KB) of the Departmental Occupational Health and Safety Program outlines the OHS education requirements for all employees, including management, within ESDC as well as Service Canada, the Labour Program and all other service offerings managed within ESDC.

The College@ESDC, in collaboration with National Occupational Health and Safety Office (NOHSO), is pleased to offer OHS training that supports a healthy and safe workplace for all employees. Employees may also be required to attend other task-specific training or awareness sessions depending on their duties or the nature of the workplace.

If you have questions about these OHS offerings, contact your Learning Coordinator (xlsx, 31 KB) (NCR) or your Learning Centre (regions).
