Information Management (IM) evolves with every document created, captured and received. IM requirements and classification structures should evolve as the organization matures and adds new programs.
Take the time to really assess how well information management programs are doing and to take corrective action to obtain better results in the future.
Ask yourself:
What is working well?
What can be improved?
What lessons have you learned?
Who can help you improve?
Evaluation will reveal opportunities for improvement, such as redesigning your shared drive folder structure so that you can actually find the information you need, when you need it.
Consult with your IM Specialist regularly and share lessons learned and ideas for improvement.
