The Department regularly monitors the electronic network to ensure adherence to Departmental policies related to information security. Mechanisms are in place and additional technologies will be introduced across the organization that will help employees ‘do the right thing’ with the information that they create and manage. Ultimately these measures and technologies will help ensure that the information that is entrusted to us by Canadians is safe, secure and protected. The Data Loss Prevention program monitors network drives and emails to ensure that information that is saved in the repertories or sent by email complies with the information safeguard measures.
