ERMS Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is my user name?

    User IDs are created by users:

    • A maximum of 16 characters is allowed for your User ID, and if required, can include a combination of alphanumeric characters (i.e. numbers and letters but no special characters such as punctuation or symbols).
      • A recommended format is your last name and first initial of your first name (example: John Smith = smithj).
      • Note: do not use sensitive information (e.g. banking information, Social Insurance Number or PRI) as your User ID.
  • How to create my PIN (password)?
    • PINs must be between 4 and 15 alphanumeric characters (i.e. numbers and letters but no special characters such as punctuation or symbols).

  • How to edit my User Profile?
    1. Go to the ERMS login page.
    2. Enter your User ID, your password (PIN) and press Login.
    3. Click on "My Advantage" (top left corner).
    4. Select "Profile" and go to "Edit My Profile".
  • How to arrange device order?
    1. Go to the ERMS login page.
    2. Enter your User ID, your password (PIN) and press Login.
    3. Click on "My Advantage" (top left corner).
    4. Select "Profile" and go to "Device Order".
  • How to unregister?
    1. Go to the ERMS login page.
    2. Enter your User ID, your password (PIN) and press Login.
    3. Click on "My Advantage" (top left corner).
    4. Select "Profile" and go to "Edit My Profile".
    5. Select "Unsubscribe" and follow the prompt.
  • How to register for SMS alerts?
    1. Before registering for SMS alerts, please ensure you have completed your ERMS profile registration and entered a cell phone number into the SMS Device Field.
    2. To receive SMS Text Message Alerts, an SMS device must exist on your user profile and you must be opted in. To opt in, text the words ERMS START to the number 77222, from a registered SMS device in your ERMS profile.
    3. You will receive a message that confirms your subscription.

    By completing this action, you agree to receive SMS messages and are aware of any additional charges that may apply from your service provider as a result.

    At any time, you can opt-out of receiving SMS Messages. To do so, text ERMS STOP to 77222.

    Messaging Rates

    Messaging and Data costs are associated with the employee's cellphone plan and not ERMS. This would apply if you are charged fees with your personal plan to send or receive text messages, data usage to receive texts with ERMS is minimal.

  • How to change the default language?
    1. Go to the ERMS login page.
    2. Enter your User ID, your password (PIN) and press Login.
    3. Click on "My Advantage" (top left corner).
    4. Select "Profile" and go to "Edit My Profile".
    5. Select the drop down under "Language" and chose your default language.
    6. Click on "Save".
  • Internet Browser options

    ERMS is not optimized for Internet Explorer 11 and performs better when using the Microsoft Edge internet browser. In order to select MS Edge (if installed on your computer), go to the main "Windows" page on the bottom left corner of your computer and click on it. From there you will see on the right-hand side of the screen the "Explore" icon. Select Microsoft Edge, which will open in a new browsing window.
