Demonstrations Involving ESDC and Service Canada Locations

We understand that the demonstrators have concerns and the right to make their voices heard peacefully.

ESDC places priority on the safety and security of its employees, clients and information. If demonstrations present a risk to safety and security, the affected office may be temporarily closed.

• Media are not to impede access to the office by clients and employees. Interviews with the public can be conducted off ESDC premises.
• Media representatives may not record (photo, sound, video) inside the office without the prior permission of national Media Relations.
• Media representatives unwilling to comply with these requirements will be asked to leave the premises.
• Refusal to leave will result in notification of the local police.
