WebEx Audio Conference User Guide

If you still have a need for a standard audio conference bridge, WebEx does offer that feature with its Personal Conference functionality.

Set Up Your Personal Conferencing Account

  1. Log on to www.canada.webex.com and select Preferences.
  2. Scroll to the Audio section and select Set Up.
  3. Under Personal Conferencing, select Generate Account.
  4. Document your Audio PIN and Host access Code, as it will always remain the same.
  5. Select Save at the bottom of the screen.

Schedule a Personal Conferencing Meeting

  1. Using the Outlook WebEx Productivity Tool, select Schedule Meeting from the drop down.
  2. Select Schedule Personal Conference Meeting.
  3. The Conferencing information is automatically populated in the body of the invite.
  4. Complete the rest of your meeting logistics as usual and press Send.

Starting/Joining a Personal Conference Meeting

  1. Start the meeting by calling the conference number listed in the email invitation.
    • You also have the option to start the meeting by selecting the green Join button and running the audio meeting from WebEx on your computer or mobile app if you'd prefer.
  2. Follow the audio prompts.
    • If you are the host, enter your Audio PIN (if you don't remember your host information, you can always access that within the Outlook calendar invite by selecting Host Information button in the invite ribbon.)

Telephone Keypad Commands

Host and Attendees

  • ** – Hear all commands
  • *6 – Mute/Unmute audio
  • *# – Play the participant count

Host Only

  • *8 – Let participants continue without host
  • *5 – Lock the meeting
  • ## – Mute all attendees
  • *7 – Send an email reminder
  • *5 – Unlock the meeting
  • 99 – Unmute all attendees
