Obtaining a Personal Record Identifier (PRI)
Prior to submitting a request for appointment, the manager (or designate) obtains a PRI for a new hire (either new to the Public Service or coming to our department from a separate employer) by submitting a request to the Human Resources Service Centre (select the General HR enquiry form, Staffing category and then select Obtain a Personal Record Identifier (PRI)).
The following information must appear in the “description” part of your request:
- Employee's first name and last name
- Social Insurance Number
- Date of birth (DD/MM/YY mandatory)
