Brief Description of Life Experience:

My personal challenge for the past 8 years which is still ongoing is coping and adapting to the struggle of a family member that has dementia and Alzheimer’s. I experienced the helplessness and pain of watching a perfectly healthy family member deteriorate slowly with every passing day. I understand the ripple effect that this mental health condition can have on an entire family’s mental health.

But through it all, I learned to manage my situation and these feelings. There is hope to find a way to navigate through it and to keep living a healthy life! It’s an ongoing ever changing battle but I have learned to cope through the use of different strategies which have worked for me. I am here to listen, and support you. I would be honoured to be your peer supporter.
