Brief Description of Life Experience:

Before joining ESDC I worked as an emergency department nurse and worked with people experiencing mental health crises on a daily basis. In addition to my exposure to mental health challenges in my nursing background I have had my own challenges in my personal life with family, friends, and myself. One of the hardest parts about going through mental health struggles is feeling isolated and alone. I am excited to be a Peer Supporter so that I can talk to you about what you are going through and hopefully make you feel less alone. Sometimes it's just nice to have someone who wants to listen to you.
