Brief Description of Life Experience related to Mental Health:

My Mental Health challenges began during my childhood. I struggled with anxiety and frequent feelings of sadness and depression. I was 12 years old when I realized, feeling this way so frequently, was not normal. I was very fortunate to have people in my life that helped me obtain the support and therapy I needed. Fast-forward nearly 25 years, I still frequently experience the same feelings but I now have the tools to get through these difficult times. I now see every challenge as a learning opportunity from which I gain strength and resilience. Despite being a very busy wife and mother of two children with Mental Health issues, ADHD and learning challenges, I recognize the importance of self-care and the benefit it has on my Mental Health. I believe helping others is a part of my journey. I share my story, and have for many years, in the hope that it will help others who may be experiencing similar challenges see that it is possible to get through it. I am available to listen if you should ever need to talk.
