Brief Description of Life Experience related to Mental Health:

I am currently a manager at Service Canada. I started my career as a Citizen Services Agent and made my way through the subsequent level. As a Team Leader, I have helped employees cope with different situations they encountered at work and at home.

I have personally experienced burnout and depression early in my career due to my ambition to get to the next rung on the ladder. The burnout quickly spiraled down to depression. After hitting bottom, I took steps to help myself cope with my experience and eventually came out of it without medication. Most recently, I have been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and gone through intensive treatments. Managing my mental health during treatment was crucial in my rapid recovery.
