ESDC Goodlife Fitness – Frequently Asked Questions

  • 1. How does the corporate plan work?
    • Run by volunteers on their own time, in order to provide a reduced membership rate to GoodLife Fitness and their affiliated facilities for ESDC employees and their significant others.
    • Employees can join at any time.
    • Corporate plans runs from the date that you register ($549/year or $24 biweekly) * all applicable taxes are additional.
  • 2. I am on secondment with another department, am i eligible to join?
    • This plan is for employees whose substantive position belongs to ESDC/SC Only.
  • 3. Which gym(s) is my membership valid at?
    • Membership is valid for any GoodLife, Energie Cardio or Nubody across Canada (except several private locations in Ontario).
  • 4. Can i pay with cash or personal cheque?
    • No, GoodLife will ONLY accept electronic methods of payment via their web site Good Life Fitness.
  • 5. If i am a woman living in quebec and want to join energie cardio as my main gym, how is the process different?
    • You will receive instructions via the GoodLife website on how to register for Energie Cardio as your main gym.
  • 6. Can i submit one payment for me and my husband/wife/son/daughter or do they need to be separate?
    • Yes, it is mandatory that all members of the same family be paid with the same source of payment (i.e. one bank account).
  • 7. I was a member on the corporate plan last year. Why do i have to join as a new member?
    • If your membership has lapsed 60 days since last year's plan expiry, you are now considered a new member.
  • 8. Where do i pick up my membership card?
    • We do not distribute cards. You will receive instructions via the GoodLife website on how to get your key tag directly from the gym.
  • 9. I lost my card, where can i get a new one?
    • If you need a replacement key tag please speak directly to GoodLife representative at the gym.
  • 10. I left a message/sent an email to na-goodlife_corp_mbr-abonnement_col_goodlife-gd@hrsdc-rhdcc.gc.ca and have not received a response.
    • Administration of the plan is done on a volunteer basis, please be patient.
    • We will try to get back to you within 5 business days.
    • If you haven't heard a response within 5 days, please re-read the FAQ's to ensure your question has not already been answered.
  • 11. Are retired employees eligible to join?
    • Yes, retirees are welcome on the plan. You must have retired from this department and will need to provide that info when you join and each time when you renew.
