Year-End Performance Agreement Final Signatures
How to manage the absence of an employee or manager

Situation 1: The employee is away for the foreseeable future and cannot sign their performance agreement.

Please note that when the performance agreement is signed using the options below, the status will remain in “Final: Acknowledgment” but it is considered completed.

Option 1 - the manager and the employee HAD their year-end discussion:

The manager will need to sign using the following options:

  1. Use the tick box: the employee and I have discussed the content of his/her performance assessment
  2. Write a comment to give context on the situation including the reason why the employee is unable to sign
    • *IMPORTANT* If the employee’s signature is missing, Treasury Board Secretariat requires this comment from the manager to consider the performance agreement complete
  3. Manager signs to complete the agreement
