The role of Compensation Key Users
Compensation Key Users are employees who have been identified in each branch and region to provide support and additional guidance for ESDC employees on various pay process-related topics, including myEMS (PeopleSoft), Phoenix, the Pay Centre and the Human Resources Service Centre (HRSC) Portal.
ESDC’s Compensation Key Users assist and guide employees by:
- Obtaining various updates on compensation and benefits processing (Phoenix and myEMS (PeopleSoft) from:
- Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) regarding compensation and pay and benefits processing;
- Treasury Board Secretariat;
- Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC);
- Various authorities, including the myEMS (PeopleSoft) and Phoenix teams;
- Etc.
- Supporting employees and informing them of:
- The various tools and appropriate references;
- Relevant training;
- Various changes to compensation and benefits processing (Phoenix and myEMS (PeopleSoft));
- Etc.
- Compiling and reporting, to the ESDC Liaison Office, on difficulties encountered by users in order to continuously improve communication products, reference tools and training materials.
Compensation Key Users have been identified for each branch and region so that HR specialists, ESDC employees and managers are able to obtain immediate support.
