Programme Management Update!

As an organisation undertaking major transformational change to achieve many of its business objectives, ESDC has taken significant steps to improve the delivery of complex change by adopting a Programme Management approach.

The demand to successfully deliver complex programme is at an all-time high. It has been recognized across the public sector in numerous jurisdictions that using only project management approaches has created challenges in successfully transforming organizations.

Programme management has a role to play, specifically in achieving outcomes and realizing benefits of strategic importance to our business.

CFOB is currently working on building the programme management foundation to enable clients to successfully deliver their programme.

By implementing programme management best practices, we will be able to:

• Scalable programme management linked to strategic priorities, properly resourced and planned
• Sustainable capacity and capability development to support on-going programme delivery
• Effective programme governance and accountabilities for senior executives
• Being respected and recognized as an enabler for the implementation of programme management within the Canadian Federal Government.
