Project Management Information Solution (PMIS)
The Project Management Information Solution (PMIS) is the department’s one source of truth for all project related information and is the tool mandated by the department to manage projects that move through the ESDC Project Lifecycle. The solution consists of the integration of multiple software: Microsoft Project Server 2016, Microsoft Project Professional 2016, SharePoint 2016 and Business Intelligence. As well, PMIS is loosely integrated with myEMS (SAP) to capture project financials.
Microsoft Project Server is the enterprise management platform that provides capabilities to effectively initiate, plan and deliver projects on time. Microsoft Project Server will allow project teams to manage their schedule and project information (risks/issues/documentation) through one tool.
myEMS (SAP) is the departmental financial tracking system for project financials and provides PMIS with an update of project financials during financial reporting periods.

Did you know?
As part of the PMIS Phase IV Project, PMIS moved to a new platform consisting of Project Server 2016 and Windows Server 2012. This move increased the performance and stability of the solution.
The project is also enhancing the solution over the next year to better align with updated policy and procedure changes.
More information on upcoming PMIS changes will be communicated through the EPMO and are available to active PMIS users through the announcement bar in the Project Centre or in IPPM Communications
