- What is a Role in myEMS (SAP)?

A role is a collection of business process functions that provides a user access to perform specific activities in the system.
For access to a role, the user must obtain their manager's approval and successfully complete the mandatory training in Saba (ESDC/SC learning management system).
For access to myEMS (SAP), select one of the following user types:
For myEMS (SAP) knowledge and/or reference material
Any user wanting to obtain myEMS (SAP) knowledge and/or reference material go to reference material.
*Please note, that this will NOT grant you access to any myEMS (SAP) roles.

Employee
All employees are automatically granted access to the "Employee Self-Service" role once they receive network access. This role allows employees to perform all activities listed in the "Employee Self-Service" role.
Although it is not a requirement, we strongly recommend that you complete the training curriculum for the "Employee Self-Service" role prior to performing any of these functions.
Manager
All delegated managers with signing authority are automatically granted access to the "Manager Self-Service". This role allows managers the ability to run management reports and approvals.
