Looking for learning offerings that are relevant to the times?

Have no fear, eLearning@ESDC is here!

With a variety of eLearning options that will help you to better understand and respond to our current realities.

eLearning@ESDC

The circumstances over the last several months have been out of the ordinary, to say the least. In March, many ESDC employees were required to work from home and off the departmental network due to the outbreak of COVID-19. To this day, we are still feeling and seeing the effects of the pandemic.

In the spring, we witnessed the renewal of the Black Lives Matter movement and protests, following tragic events of anti-Black racism and systemic discrimination in Canada and the United States. There is still much that needs to be done to fight racism and discrimination against Black, Indigenous and People of Colour (BIPOC) in all its forms.

As this summer comes to a close, so does the eLearning@ESDC bulletin. Created in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the bulletin ensured that employees could continue to receive learning options and updates – both on and off the departmental network – no matter the circumstances. We hope that you found the recommended learning options both meaningful and relevant through these trying times.

While the situation around us continues to develop and change, the College is committed to continuing to provide ESDC learners – like you – with learning options that are relevant to the times, and can equip you with the skills you need to serve the diverse Canadian population.

This week’s 13th edition of eLearning@ESDC focuses on learning that will help you to better understand and respond to our current realities. This includes providing you with the latest safety updates as COVID-19 restrictions start to lift; helping you better understand BIPOC racism and how to be an ally; and equipping you with tools and resources to ensure good mental health.

Did You Know?

As ESDC employees and as Canadians, we all have a role to play in fostering an inclusive environment that allows everyone to engage fully and authentically. If you’d like to better understand anti-Black racism, how to address it, and find out how you can make a difference, be sure to check out the panel discussion Anti-Black Racism and How to Be an Ally, available on CSPS’s YouTube channel.

Please note: YouTube is temporarily inaccessible on the departmental network, to reserve bandwidth for essential services. This learning content can be accessed off-network.
