Request Workforce Management Committee Approval:

Once proper guidance has been received from your Human Resources Advisor, proceed to obtain Workforce Management Committee approval (if applicable).

Sub-delegated managers are responsible for obtaining Workforce Management Committee approval according to regional/branch requirements as applicable. Ensure that you have the required sub-delegation authority to approve a specific staffing action.

At a minimum, all indeterminate hiring into and within the Department must be submitted and reviewed by Workforce Management Committees. There is flexibility for Workforce Management Committees to review more staffing actions than just indeterminate hiring but that is at the discretion of each Assistant Deputy Minister. Refer to the terms of reference of your branch/region’s Workforce Management Committee for additional information.
