Manager of Departing Consultant/Contractor

Managers of departing consultant/contractor must ensure a proper departure process and the completion of the Notification of Separation.

Prior to a departure, managers of a departing consultant/contractor must:

  • Ensure that any digital information (including email) or paper-based information created by the departing individual that is considered an information with business value is stored into a central location (e.g., SharePoint, shared drive, filing cabinet,etc.) and provide the proper permission access accordingly to the information security classification.
  • Ensure the departing individual deletes or destroys all transitory information, unless this information is related to a suspension of a dispute, an ATIP request, an investigation or an audit. In this case, it must be retained, otherwise delete or destroy any transitory information stored on personal drives or central locations, such as, but not limited to, Outlook mailboxes, hard drives, paper files, SahharePoint, etc.Review any informations the departing consultant/contractor wish to copy such as an individual's Outlook Contact list, Outlook Calendar, personal mail,etc.
  • Contact the Branch/Region IM Lead when guidance or advice is required.
